The Principal Accounting Specialist is responsible for assisting in the management of accurate financial reporting and timely filing of all SEC reports. Responsibilities include financial accounting, SEC reporting and analysis, SOX policies and procedures and compliance and technical accounting disclosure research and implementation.

Major Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review and manage quarterly and annual earnings release and SEC reporting.
  • Assist in establishing monthly and quarterly financial reporting calendar.
  • Coordinate efforts with internal departments and external groups to facilitate SEC filings and to gather financial and non-financial information for use in SEC filings.
  • Prepare and analyze SEC filings and supporting MD&A and footnotes.
  • Draft financial statements and footnote disclosures for SEC filings by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information as needed.
  • Ensure financial statements comply with GAAP requirements and maintain and review support and documentation for all information included within each SEC filing.
  • Provide technical consulting support on the accounting disclosure issues, implementation of new accounting disclosure standards and compliance with U.S. GAAP, and SEC regulations.
  • Assist in the adoption and implementation of new accounting disclosure standards.
  • Assist in external audit coordination and internal audit reviews.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the team and implementation of new tools for financial reporting.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • CPA
  • 4 Years of experience in Accounting, Audit or Finance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting
  • 3 Years experience in Public Accounting
  • 5 Years experience in Accounting
  • 2 Years prior SEC Reporting experience
