We are seeking a full-time Faculty Assistant Manager to oversee the implementation and instruction of self-paced and online degree program courses. The Faculty Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring excellence in student learning experiences by leading a team of faculty members.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure an excellent academic and learning experience for our degree students.
• Lead, build and maintain an exceptional team of faculty members.
• Lead and participate in faculty reviews, department meetings and other coaching and development activities.
• Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Manage faculty payroll and personnel functions.
• Plan and manage the department budget.
• Facilitate continuing education opportunities for faculty.
• Serve as LMS/online module expert administrator, manager and facilitator.
• Work closely with the curriculum manager, writers, and desktop publishing to coordinate with the deadlines of the various phases of the course development.
• Disseminate information and course updates to staff.
• Hire, train, manage and coach faculty team to achieve desired outcomes.
• Supervise on-boarding and training of new faculty and monitor recordkeeping according to company policy.
• Assess class size and faculty recruiting needs and plan accordingly.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in education or closely related field.
• Minimum of 2 years postsecondary teaching experience teaching distance education coursework.
• Strong experience working in a LMS platform, preferably Moodle, required.
• Strong leadership skills and proven ability to prioritize effectively and act decisively.
• Demonstrated excellence in training, evaluating and supporting faculty.
• Experience with adult learning philosophies and instructional methods.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Knowledge and experience with a variety of educational philosophies, teaching effectiveness and education outcomes.
• Knowledge of effective distance learning strategies to maintain student throughput and ensure quality instruction.
• Ability to manage, motivate and supervise others.

Weston Distance Learning, located in Fort Collins, Colorado, is seeking a part time (approximately 20-30 hours per week) Faculty Support Specialist to provide overall day-to-day administrative and human resources support to the Faculty Manager. Responsibilities:
• Distribute, review and maintain state credential faculty paperwork
• Prepare, distribute and receive adjunct faculty contracts
• Review grade assessment of student work assigned by faculty
• Return faculty phone calls and emails regarding the facilitation of program studies
• Problem solve faculty requests as they relate to course facilitation, student correspondence or other instructor functions. Problem solving includes research, analysis and working with others as needed to obtain resolution.
• Review faculty performance of the facilitation of online courses
• Request the creation of online student surveys at mid-term and near the end of term online course
• Answer student questions
• Assist with human resource administrative functions as necessary such as providing input on employee reviews and screening potential adjunct faculty candidates
• Facilitate online and/or self-paced HR-related courses, as needed
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Baccalaureate degree or higher in Human Resources from an accredited college/university.
• Minimum of two years full-time or five years part-time experience required in human resources.
